The body is machined from free-cutting carbon steel (black oxide finish) with a built-in internal hex drive on the rear face for blind-hole installation using standard hex keys. Sizes M5 through M16 are treated with a reusable mechanical thread-locking patch to prevent counter-rotation under operational vibration.
The internal compression assembly uses a carbon steel spring providing linear force directly against the pin nose. For applications requiring high shear strength and surface wear resistance, select the case-hardened carbon steel pin. For applications involving soft metals, aluminum plates, or polished contact surfaces where scratching must be avoided, select the POM (polyoxymethylene) pin.
